Sick of leaving a solution running over night only to find it has diverged in the morning? The PHOENICS Convergence-Promoting Wizard is designed to ensure that solutions will converge, relieving its users of the need to set convergence-promoting parameters. The user can instead devote full attention to the geometrical and physical input data and interpreting results.
CONWIZ works by making guesses about reference values of: length, velocity, density and temperature. It then uses this to set initial values for these variables and linear under-relaxation factors. During the course of the simulation the under-relaxation factors are modified automatically as required.
